This holiday actually incorporates another aspect of Spanish culture that people around the world recognize as very Spanish indeed- bullfighting. If you\u2019re planning on being in Spain on February 2, keep this holiday in mind. We\u2019ll show you what you can expect if you\u2019re in town on La Candelaria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">La historia de La Candelaria<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Como ya se ha mencionado, La Candelaria se remonta a la historia cristiana. Viajar\u00e1s en el tiempo hasta los d\u00edas de Mar\u00eda, Jos\u00e9 y Jes\u00fas en Jerusal\u00e9n. Esta tradici\u00f3n honra el momento en que Mar\u00eda y Jos\u00e9 llevaron a Jes\u00fas al Templo cuarenta d\u00edas despu\u00e9s de nacer. <a href=\"https:\/\/latterdaysaintmag.com\/understanding-why-mary-and-joseph-took-the-babe-jesus-to-the-temple\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Esto era habitual en la \u00e9poca<\/a>como a las madres primerizas se las consideraba impuras despu\u00e9s de dar a luz durante 40 d\u00edas, ella y Jos\u00e9 no pudieron entrar en un lugar sagrado durante 40 d\u00edas.
