Sin embargo, el espa\u00f1ol tambi\u00e9n es la lengua oficial en<\/span> 21 pa\u00edses de todo el mundo<\/span><\/a>, la mayor\u00eda de los cuales pertenecen a la regi\u00f3n geogr\u00e1fica ampliamente conocida como Am\u00e9rica Central, que comprende la parte meridional de Am\u00e9rica del Norte, Am\u00e9rica Central y Am\u00e9rica del Sur. Entonces, \u00bfpor qu\u00e9 se considera que el espa\u00f1ol de Castilla es diferente del espa\u00f1ol de Norteam\u00e9rica? <\/span><\/p>\n

Pues bien, la respuesta m\u00e1s sencilla es la distancia geogr\u00e1fica. Los patrones ling\u00fc\u00edsticos que evolucionaron en las antiguas colonias espa\u00f1olas de Am\u00e9rica Latina existieron literalmente a medio mundo de distancia de Espa\u00f1a, y as\u00ed evolucionaron sus propias variaciones regionales \u00fanicas de vocabulario, acentos y entonaciones. <\/span><\/p>\n

Este fen\u00f3meno de las variaciones regionales es com\u00fan a las lenguas de todo el mundo. Y al igual que todos los angloparlantes pueden, por lo general, entenderse entre s\u00ed, lo mismo ocurre con los hispanohablantes castellanos y latinoamericanos. <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00c9stas son algunas de las diferencias clave que separan el castellano tradicional del tipo de espa\u00f1ol que se habla en Am\u00e9rica Latina.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cuatro diferencias clave entre el castellano y el espa\u00f1ol latinoamericano<\/strong><\/h1>\n

1. Vosotros \/ Ustedes<\/i><\/strong><\/h2>\n

Al dirigirse a un grupo de dos o m\u00e1s personas, los espa\u00f1oles dir\u00e1n <\/span>vosotros<\/span><\/i> y los latinoamericanos dir\u00e1n <\/span>vosotros<\/span><\/i>. Both words essentially mean the same thing as \u201cyou\u201d in the plural or formal sense in English. <\/span><\/p>\n

2. Tiempo pasado<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Al hablar en pasado, los espa\u00f1oles castellanos tender\u00e1n a utilizar el pret\u00e9rito perfecto para distinguir los acontecimientos recientes. <\/span><\/p>\n

For example, Spaniards might say \u201c<\/span>Hab\u00edamos tenido que limpiar la casa antes de salir<\/span><\/i>\u201d (\u201cI had cleaned the house before going out\u201d), while Latin Americans will simply say \u201c<\/span>Limpi\u00e9 la casa antes de salir<\/span><\/i>\u201d (\u201cI cleaned the house before going out\u201d).<\/span><\/p>\n

3. Pronunciaci\u00f3n<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Una de las formas m\u00e1s obvias de distinguir entre el castellano y el espa\u00f1ol latinoamericano es simplemente escuchar c\u00f3mo se hablan. Los espa\u00f1oles producir\u00e1n con frecuencia un sonido parecido a \"<\/span>th<\/span><\/i>\u201d to replace a \u201cz\u201d before any vowel or a \u201cc\u201d before \u201ci\u201d or \u201ce\u201d. <\/span><\/p>\n

In Latin American Spanish, both the letters \u201cc\u201d and \u201cz\u201d will always sound like something closer to an English \u201c<\/span>s<\/span><\/i>\u201d sound. <\/span><\/p>\n
