In order to be able to read and write, you need to know how to pronounce different letters. Some languages, like English, have lots of different rules to memorize when it comes to pronunciation. In Spanish, every letter makes the same sound consistently, except for \u201cg\u201d and \u201cc\u201d, which sometimes sound different. Why is that? All letters make the same sound, except the letters \u201cc\u201d and \u201cg\u201d, which have two different sounds. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">\u201cC\u201d and \u201cG\u201d sound different in predictable ways<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Ne t'inqui\u00e8te pas, m\u00eame si ces lettres peuvent produire des sons diff\u00e9rents, il existe une astuce simple pour pouvoir savoir quel son elles produisent dans un contexte donn\u00e9. For the letter \u201cc\u201d, it\u2019s soft when it sounds like an English \u201cs\u201d, and it\u2019s hard when it makes a \u201ck\u201d sound. For the letter \u201cG\u201d, it\u2019s soft when it makes an English \u201ch\u201d sound, and it\u2019s hard when it makes an English \u201cg\u201d sound, as in \u201cgoat\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Doux apr\u00e8s e ou i, dur apr\u00e8s a, o, u<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The sound \u201cc\u201d and \u201cg\u201d make depends on the letter that comes after. If they are followed by an i or an e, they make a soft sound, and when followed by an a, o or u, they make a hard sound.
