You might find yourself on your phone while watching TV, scrolling while in class, texting at dinner, or listening to a podcast while writing a paper. It\u2019s common to multi-task, but there\u2019s a big problem with multi-lingual multi-tasking: it doesn\u2019t work very well when you\u2019re first learning. What does that mean as a Spanish student? It\u2019s best to focus on Spanish with <a href=\"http:\/\/conversaspanishinstitute.com\/fr\/blog\/reduis-ton-stress-grace-a-ces-strategies-decoute-interpretative\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" title=\"R\u00e9duis ton stress gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ces strat\u00e9gies d&#039;\u00e9coute interpr\u00e9tative\">toute ton attention<\/a> while you\u2019re learning, so that one day you\u2019ll be able to multitask too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il est int\u00e9ressant de noter que la recherche sugg\u00e8re que les personnes bilingues pourraient \u00eatre plus efficaces pour effectuer plusieurs t\u00e2ches \u00e0 la fois, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nih.gov\/news-events\/news-releases\/bilinguals-switch-tasks-faster-monolinguals-nih-funded-study-shows\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">selon une \u00e9tude<\/a> de l'Institut national de la sant\u00e9 (NIH). Tu ne t'en rends peut-\u00eatre pas compte, mais tu d\u00e9pends beaucoup du contexte pour comprendre ce qui se passe et pour r\u00e9agir. Lorsque tu fais plusieurs t\u00e2ches, ton cerveau passe rapidement d'une activit\u00e9 \u00e0 l'autre, et il y a un tr\u00e8s l\u00e9ger d\u00e9lai pendant que ton cerveau essaie de rattraper la nouvelle t\u00e2che. En anglais, tu es peut-\u00eatre un grand multit\u00e2che, et tu peux passer rapidement d'une activit\u00e9 \u00e0 l'autre !<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cependant, comme tu d\u00e9pends beaucoup du contexte en tant qu'apprenant de l'espagnol, tu rates en fait beaucoup de choses lorsque tu d\u00e9tournes ton attention vers autre chose. Si tu essaies de suivre une conversation en espagnol, que tu te distrais en anglais, puis que tu essaies de revenir \u00e0 l'espagnol, ton cerveau n'a pas assez de contexte pour savoir ce qui se passe. Souvent, tu rates des informations cl\u00e9s qui t'aideraient \u00e0 poursuivre la conversation. Rappelle-toi que lorsque tu commences, tu dois penser beaucoup plus \u00e0 ce que tu dis. Cela signifie \u00eatre pr\u00e9sent et ne pas \u00eatre distrait. La pleine conscience t'aidera \u00e0 mieux comprendre ce que tu vois, entends et lis, et elle t'aidera \u00e9galement \u00e0 apprendre du vocabulaire et de la grammaire.
