First, let’s take a look at verbs in the past to talk about what you did in the past. If you’re talking about an action that has a set start and end point, or happened just once, you’re going to want to use the preterite tense. However, if you’re talking about things you used to do when you were younger, you’ll want to use the imperfect tense. If you want to talk about what you do habitually, you’ll use the present tense. It’s totally fine if you need a little refresher on the preterito vs imperfetto o il tempo presente!
